Sad that it's come to this
Really wanted to enjoy OOTP 21, but the amount of crashes both in menus and in-game have ruined it for me.

I would look first to your computer setup. There are thousands of us that use the game with no such issues - that points directly to either a bad installation or some specific reason YOUR computer isn't handling the game well. Start with checking the minimum requirements for the game, then move on to re-installing. If that doesn't help, start checking all your other applications to see if there's anything else not working quite right. |

Is your machine running out of resources? You can click on each heading to see what application is using what. Do you have another application that is causing some issues or is it ootp? Start there. And as was previously mentioned, unlicense your game, then uninstall your game, reboot and then reinstall the game. then start up ootp and have your task manager open and see what is going on. |

Had my first crash last night.
I was checking the injury report. I can't remember the method I used to get to the report, but in any case it happened. Of course I didn't save the file. I was an hour in to playing a few sim days! Live and learn... again.

I played a lot and didn't have any crash yet! Maybe I'm just lucky

Given the amount of testing these releases get, almost certainly a local computer-related issue, maybe a corrupted install / not enough HD space, low memory, etc.. This game does need a better machine than older versions, especially since 3D was introduced. But crashes are typically install, HD or memory related.

I've logged 155 hours over multiple seasons and I haven't had a single crash so far.

Open a support ticket, maybe they will figure out your issue?

just another attention seeker, spams the forums with this kind of stuff, gives zero info on the supposed crashes and then disappears from the thread

I’ve had it crash twice, although once it was a soft crash that saved the game before exiting (it had run out of memory and TBF I’d left the game on for a couple days).
