Is this even possible?
Can I set up a league that has my son being one team, me being another team, and the computer being all the other teams?
Ideally the players would be a mix of ‘real’ players from different eras, and there would be an inaugural draft to stock all the teams. Thanks for any advice/ideas! I’ve been playing OOTP since version 5.0, but all I’ve ever played is online leagues...so I guess I really don’t know much about the game, and what can and cannot be done. My kid is 11 years old, so I’d want to keep things relatively uncomplicated, so he doesn’t feel overwhelmed. |

Believe you still get 2 licenses with each purchase so technically I suppose you could use both and have 2 separate installs (one for you one for your son) and run an "online" league between the two of you. Being in software I don't think this is the spirit of giving you 2 licenses (I'll admit, I haven't read OOTP's EULA) but I'm not here to pass judgement...just saying what's technically possible since you asked
And yes, the random debut type of world you want to build is possible...a few threads about it if you search.

Even so, I don't think both licenses can be playing at the same time—I think at least in PT that's limited at their end. Best bet...ask the Development Team directly, or buy a second license.
