AI Problem? Awful Defensive Catcher Continues to Start

A guy I traded a few years ago in the final year of his contract due to declining skills is still starting for a team I now face. He is their starting catcher with a 2 Arm, 2 ability and 2 overall rating. He throws out 9.4% of runners and last year it was around there as well. Basically I force steal 2nd and then steal 3rd with every player every game against them and rack up huge run totals due to this. They have been one of the better teams in recent years finishing 1st twice until last year they were 5th and now are in 6th, this guy is just killing them. I stole 14 bases and he made 4 errors in what was the worst game I've seen yet: they had one of the best pitchers in the league going and he was dominant but gave up 5 runs because of this stiff. He can't even hit anymore but still gets rolled out every day, why?
