The current 2016 rosters and future current rosters.
I have noted a couple of times that I was quite happy with OOTP 16 and everything ran smoothly for me. None of the listed changes got me excited. Combine that with some changes that I didn't like, I will ask this question again:
Is there any way to just get the 2016 Rosters and plug them into OOTP 16 and have them play on that version? And, for next year, will there be any way to get the 2017 rosters and plug them into (I assume) OOTP 17? I'd be more than happy to pay a fee for the season. If not, since I play mostly older seasons (although I do like to see the current players - albeit mostly for curiosity's sake), this may be the last update I buy? It's not unlike updating Word or Excel and finding out that the old versions worked just fine, thank you. Thx |

No, there is no way to get the OOTP 17 rosters working in OOTP 16.

Currently there is no way to use the rosters from OOTP 17 in OOTP 16. The only hope would be that a fan creates a roster update for OOTP 16. Always check the mods section for updates.
I understand that you dislike the approach but you actually showed, in your post, why this would be a failed business model for OOTP for the reasons below. 1. You stated that you would pay for an updated roster to use in an older OOTP. 2. You also stated that this may be the last update you buy. I would imagine that OOTP would sell less copies of the newer game if they took the approach of releasing roster updates for sale. Also you seem to think OOTP 17 is just an "update" instead of a new game. If OOTP only released "Updates" they would not be any where near where they are. I can understand where you are coming from but as a company it just wouldn't make sense for OOTP. This is all my opinion of course and no way represents Out of the Park Developments. |

Happy to help. I hope the post didn't come across in a negative way, if it did I do apologize.
