Brooklyn had an off day at the Pirates won so the Superbas are a half game back.
The Pirates have no games left while Brooklyn has a three game set with the Phillies. The Superbas need to take 2 of 3 to tie or 3 of 3 to win outright. The Phillies are a .483 team. Jose Pineda of Baton Rouge was named MVP of his Short A league.
