Path To Glory job offers question
Just finished my third season of my GM only path to glory game in the QMJHL, and I've been offered a contract extension
My question is, if I accept the extension can I still receive offers from other teams, specifically NHL teams? Or do I have to be a "free agent" GM? |

In my experience you will be offered jobs from teams in higher leagues even if you have a contract with certain team. So if you are under contract in the QMJHL you will still be offered jobs from the NHL, AHL, ECHL, etc...

In theory, yes. Then again, I have managed very successful teams in the WHL and Finnish MESTIS for 8 years now and won multiple titles. Sill the only job offers I get are from the QMJHL and the OHL. Waiting for a job offer from the NHL will take way too long.

It took about 12 years for me to get an NHL offer. That is after 5 QMJHL titles and a memorial cup, plus add on 2 winning seasons in the AHL and KHL respectfully. I believe it all has to do with reputation. I noticed that once I got my reputation to good I started to get the NHL offers. Hopefully this will be tweaked for the next version and you can progress more quickly through the ranks if you are dominating the lower leagues.
