NA Junior Leagues
Why are CHL players "forced" to play out their contracts in-game? NHL teams can take "their" players out of juniors at any year they see as appropriate - why are European clubs "discriminated" against?
I understand that some players would say "no" if they're expecting an NHL call-up soon enough, but I don't think that too many juniors without NHL contracts would reject a multi-million-dollar offer from SKA SPb if it came, would they? Is there a coding issue that forbids this sort of thing? |

We could probably refine the generation of a player junior preference (the thing that determines whether he wants to play college, major junior, or European junior) a bit so more of the North American guys are willing to play in Europe, but it's going to have to be targeted pretty carefully to limit the numbers. Otherwise, there'd be a very unrealistic flood of Canadian juniors to Europe.
