Personally I don't think either of them are the answer, but what do I know. I still think it was a dumb move getting rid of Mack. Last edited by Bluenoser; 03-19-2020 at 05:19 AM. |

Mariota is for depth. Gruden has built the offense around Carr. Most likely they are going to get one of the top receivers in the draft. Carr's stats have been improving each year since Gruden arrived. The knock on him is that he doesnt throw deep but the raiders don't have that consistent deep threat. Plus why throw deep if you can keep moving the ball down the field? If AB had not been a train wreck people would not even see Mariota pickup for what it is. Just depth. Or have Raider fans forgot about Connor Cook starting the last raiders playoff game? |

The Rams cut Todd Gurley.
What are the odds he joins Brady in Tampa? |

If you're going to blow the team up, which is what it looked like the Raiders were doing, what purpose does it serve to give Mack a monster deal while they're rebuilding? Better to have the picks for him than to waste the money and his talent for nothing. May come back to bite them, but I think the logic is sound. |

If we wind up getting a real good starter with that 19th pick this year, maybe the trade will be more even. Either way, our defense will be better than last year. I like some of the signings we have made so far, especially Littleton and Kwiatkoski. Our linebacker core should be much improved this season. |

Witten is depth, Darren Waller looks to be the real deal and will no doubt see the majority of playing time. Still, Witten was vg in his prime, and his experience and leadership will be worth something at least.
