1940s/1950s Class B/D/C Baseball
Any active interest in some of the lower level professional leagues from yesteryear? I've been getting pretty curious about and been visiting some of the parks still around from the 1940s and 1950s Longhorn League, West Texas-New Mexico League, etc.
Heard some good stories from someone who would sneak in and play on the raked field before the maintenance man returned. The guy who told me the stories showed a lot of interest in getting a book together of some of these parks in smaller towns and getting stories of the local people. |

I read this great book about the KOM (Kansas/Oklahoma/Missouri) League a few years ago. Highly recommended, although you can probably look around and find it cheaper (I think I paid about ten bucks at a Half-Price Books)
