The Franchise Ball Team Creation Thread
The Franchise Ball Team Creation Thread
--------------------- What is Franchise Ball? Franchise Ball is basically a poor man's version of OOTP, except you play against teams online without having to do all the confusing stuff to create an online league in OOTP. You can trade, bid and plenty more as you try to get your team to the top. Though it's practically pay to win, it's still fun to try and win the World Series. The biggest differences is that it's free-to-play and that you cannot create uniforms!!! So? What are you gonna do? I have planned to create uniforms (and, if needed, logos) for all 300+ teams that aren't named after real life teams. Is this an easy task? Not at all. But after seeing how successful many other people's threads were (take Lawn Loaf and Txranger/Knuckler), I thought, "Why not give it a go?" What if I want to play Franchise Ball? A quick Google search will bring you to the website. If not, https://www.franchiseball.com/ will get you there. I would recommend supporting the team Seattle Admins, also known as Josh, for he is the sole developer and coder of the website, and has been for almost 10 years. Let's dive in. DISCLAIMER: The logos and fonts used are not of my making.

Springfield Silverwolves
Hailing from Springfield, MO, MA or IL, the Silverwolves have been the bottom feeder of Ocean Star. Their first and only playoff appearance came in Season 68, where they lost in the 2nd round to the Sacramento Salons. They also haven't had a winning season since Season 85, where they went 31-29 and missed the playoffs. However, they stand 2nd in Ocean Star South currently at 11-5.

Mobile War Eagle
The War Eagle were one of the most consistent teams of Ocean Star back in their day. From the time they entered as an expansion team in Season 78 to Season 89, they had a run of eight division titles, but haven't made it past the third round of the playoffs... They finally lost the division out to the Atlanta Firebirds in Season 90 and have been dark horse contenders ever since, but have not regained their form from the 80's, only getting 40 wins (out of 60) once in that span.

I also have a 20th anniversary logo for the War Eagle, because it's their 20th season.

The Lone Thrashers Fan,
You do good work, but I have a small suggestion. This may not matter to anybody, but me, but have you ever considered not placing letters on top of the buttons on the jerseys? I use justafan's software and you can put gaps in the buttons for the letters. It a picky point, but I think it makes a small difference. Keep doing the good graphics work and keep on helping the OOTP Community. Last edited by Eugene Church; 05-07-2021 at 06:00 PM. |

Atlanta Firebirds
The Atlanta Firebirds (my team) were created in Season 88. The quickly gained traction and won their first division title. They since have not looked back, winning six out of seven seasons, but have not made it past the 2nd round of their conference playoffs.
The uniforms were merely just based off the Phoenix Firebirds. I will link the 1991Twins' rendition of the uniforms. Check his thread out. https://forums.ootpdevelopments.com/...1&postcount=35 https://forums.ootpdevelopments.com/...2&postcount=36 It is also my team's 10th anniversary, so here's a logo for those who want it.

Winnipeg Polar Bears
The Winnipeg Polar Bears (stylized as polar bears) have been around since Season 85. However, their franchise has not made any noise since their inception, with their best season being 28-32 in Season 94, and there seems to be no plans to stop the bleeding.

Providence Franzes
The Providence Franzes and the Atlanta Firebirds were both very successful from the start, which coincidentally was Season 88. The Franzes, however, only have one division title under their sleeve. This is due to the fact that they are in the hardest division in Ocean Star. Their division features powerhouse Kansas City Royals0, San Diego Rockies, and formerly the Anchorage Polarbears and Yonkers Renegades. However, this hasn't stopped them from being a force to be reckoned with in the playoffs.
10th anniversary logo coming when I have the time, for tomorrow will be busy.

Anchorage Polarbears
The Anchorage Polarbears are the perennial contenders of Ocean Star. Proof of this is that their last below .500 season was Season 70. They have won 15 divisional titles and gone to the World Playoffs four times, making it as far as the World Series, although they got swept by future conference-mate, Calgary Fire Birds.

New Orleans Hot Rods
Like the polarbears, the New Orleans Hot Rods are almost always in contention for a league title. They won two world championships (Season 45 and 80), but have yet to win another, going to five world playoffs since, making it as far as the World Series.

The Oakland Rage recently re-founded themselves after 24 seasons of being defunct. In both reincarnations, they were never able to make a huge splash, never making the playoffs in their combined five seasons, with their best record being 29-31 in Season 80.

The Yonkers Renegades were "go" from the start, winning their division in the first year of their existence. From there, they went on an eight year division winning streak, but never made the World Championships until Season 98, where they won... as a wild card. Since then, they've not been back, though they won their division quite a bit

Do you know why the logos/images are missing from the last few posts?
