Trading on the hardest setting and I'm getting crazy offers when I shop waiver fodder outfielders from the Mets' bench and AAA system. Giancarlo Stanton for Marisnick? JD Davis? Dallas Keuchel?

Help me out here guys... I've always been a fictional league player so maybe trading has always been this bad but maybe I'm doing something wrong?

I've just finished simming the 2024 season, and one thing I've found true is that the computer wants to dump salary constantly.

I laughed because JT Realmuto became a free agent, wanted something crazy like $40M/year and someone signed him...and was on the trading block a month into the season, and he was offered up every single time I shopped a player.

That's my best guess but now I'm seeing Daniel Murphy for Eduardo Nunez. Murphy is only making $8m per year, this seems really silly.

I can't imagine any scenario where any team would make this trade.
