Historical Mode dumb question #142

Hi sorry for a dumb questions but ive been inspired to start a historical game from 1963 my questions are:

Do franchises re-locate as in real life? eg will California seals join in 1967 re-locate a few times then fold in the 70's?

do the player all time histories start from the season im on so as im starting in 63 the last 8 years of Howe's wings career is reset?

Yes to both: teams will join/move/leave as in real life. Player (and teams/leagues) start with career stats up until the year you start and go from there.

next dumb question

in historical mode what is the "proctect List" tab for? is this only used on the expansions? (like the Real life Vegas expansion) or is there another use for it as the first expansion draft isnt for about 6 years (from where ive started in 1963)

Protected Lists are used for expansion, but Protection is also for players who don't need to clear waivers as well.

Do you mean the "Protected List" on the Roster-Screen? In that case the list has all player listed that you have rights for (e.g. also player in the minors or player you drafted but did not sign so far).
