Yes, I did feel unusual facial stress just now, as long-disused muscles creased the lines around my mouth like this:

Heh, I was just coming here to say something similar. Mets Classics, Yankees Classics, a bunch of talk shows (what they are talking about now, I haven't a clue), MMA (blood on the canvas, literally, change the channel), car racing, bowling, and poker (all presumably pre-recorded). ZZZzzzz.

Let's say that again: There is NO coronavirus in digital baseball.
I wonder if this is going to end up being false.

"You have just been informed by your team trainer that Jacob deGrom has tested positive for coronavirus. What will you do?"

I'd be impressed by the realism since thats the most Mets thing to have happen

MLB teams will have players infected with coronavirus. There's a 3-4 % chance the first team will be the Mets.

Now I am watching a game from the 2015 Atlantic 10 Tournament on CBS - the championship game, VCU vs. Dayton, exactly 5 years ago today - and pretending that it's live! (Note to self: Don't look up the results like that. It takes away from the immersion. )

A March Sunday with no F1, no NASCAR, no baseball.

All I got left are the Raccoons. So where did we leave things? Ah ya. 2-10 in their last 12.

Monday can't come soon enough. (claps hands) Back to work!!

You know, I recently watched the Ken Burns Baseball documentary again. And in times of national crisis in the past, Baseball has been URGED to continue by Presidents for the good of the country.

Obviously this is different than war. BUT, I don't see why they can't play in empty stadiums and let us at least watch on tv.

I think that is answered in the number of players and staff in various sports who are testing positive.

If the players are on the field together, they can pass the virus to each other, then to their friends and families, or clubhouse attendant, or bus driver.

You might want to study up on why infectious diseases are dangerous

Thread title: You can say that again. And we have a long way to go, perhaps. Day after day with no sports and me newly retired. I was just getting started with my routine of watching sports during the day, branching out into new ones (MLS, for example), and this happens. Well, enough whining; there's much more strife in the world than this trivial deprivation and things will get back to normal sooner or later.
