Hitting streak snapped, 16 years later

There's a 38 year-old former star now in 3A and after being held hitless in the third game of the season, I got a message saying my affiliate Pawtucket, snapped his 23-game hitting streak.

My guess is the first 21 games took place 16 years prior, when he was in 3A on the way up. It's the last time he was in 3A. I've noticed in the past when I promoted someone from one level to another, a spot on the hitting streak leaders was frozen and unaffected by what happens at the next level.

I want to ask if it's possible the game remembers streaks for this long, but I'm guessing it does.
