Strange AI Strategy

Anyone else seen this? Scenario - 8th inning, team at bat trails by 2. Runner on first, one out. Normal infield defense (maybe double play depth, but no shift or deep infield). Decent hitter (6 or 7 guy) up. Low bunt for hit rating. Yet he bunts! I’ve been watching baseball for 40+ years and I don’t remember ever seeing this unless the batter was a terrific bunt for hit guy. In that spot (down by two) the outs are far more important than one base. Especially in today’s game, where players other than pitchers rarely sacrifice. I’ve seen this happen 2-3 times a month, and it bugs me every time.
