All-Time Greatest Franchise Players League

Hi All. I've been working on assembling info to import the top 101 players from each franchise to make an All-Time Greatest league. The players I chose for each franchise is in the Google Sheet in the link.

I'd welcome any and all feedback on the players I chose for each team and the set-up. Still need to import the players and try to get a quick-start finalized - but the most important part is selecting the players. It was a fun exercise and a labor of love.

Let me know what you think of my choices! Hope the link works

Do you have a list of the players? Also 101 seems way too high. Many will never play and retire because of lack of PT. i have plans of redoing Captan walrus' quickstart someday. Now that Negro Leaguers are in 18 i might try in this summer but i know I will have rookies that played their best years with that club as rookies with the rest of their career available and players like say schilling with the Red Sox have the rest of his career but at the age he was with the Red Sox not as a rookie.

Link

Here's the link:

It was opening to the Notes page, but the ATG tab has all the players. I've reposted the link so hopefully it opens to the player page now

I've run leagues with 100 names on the Reserve Rosters before - not with Minors. Am loading it into OOTP 17 to test drive it and test the import codes for all the players.

I'm loading all 101 players into my All-Time league. We'll let folks know if it is indeed too many players. Will run enough sims to see how many players break into the MLB club, how many are just minor league depth (which is important) and how many never play a game). Will take the lessons learned and try to make it a quick start for 18 (which I like everyone am excited to get next weekend).

One good thing in building the game out is that it's forced me to download Pickoff by justafan and make some more logos for all the teams of the same franchise. For example made some more old Red Sox logos. Great tool. Also used "Clipped" a website that allows one to easily make images found online have a transparent background.

I'm really intrigued by this. I'd be very interested in playing all sorts of lineups on the All-Time Rosters. But here's the tricky part. How do I go about implementing it? I have the OOTP 17 version and would love to use it.

You ought to post a quick-start league file once you are satisfied with the sims.

Quickstart

Did you ever post a quickstart for this concept? Sounds interesting.

All-time Greatest Franchise Players League

Just wondering if anybody has made this work? Seems pretty cool, and the person who put it together hasn't been responding. Can someone give me an idea as to how to go about it? Thanks

Its in the game now

I did the one for Markus like many years running lol.

It is available in the Quickstart option from start screen.

At least 60 or so players for each team based on each players best season.

Cheers

Im putting something similar together right now which will have the current MLB teams with a few minor changes with the top 53 players for each team with the players "average" season for each player represented. This will give a good snapshot of each franchises best players with career averages represented. I will pay a quick start when finished. It will be a few more weeks until im done.
