How much time is spent working with the minor leagues?

Kind of a broad question, I know. But so far, I'm finding that I spend 3 hours working in the minors for every 1 hour working at the major league level. I'm only playing as the GM, and leave the set lineups and strategy to the field managers.

Things like reviewing performances, running reports, moving guys up and down, and working with financials...

At the lowest level, rookie ball, should I be spending much time? I find I'm spending most of my time at AA and A ball, trying to get my supposedly talented pitching staff to lower their ERA's

I recommend only occasionally reviewing the minor leagues. I check them every other week to ensure that the teams have enough players and before drafts I cut any 22+ players from the rookie teams

I recommend just controlling what levels your main prospects are at and let the AI handle the rest. Make cuts/trades when you start getting too many players at a certain position/level.

And sometimes I see that too. In fact, one of my rookie ball teams 5 catchers on the roster, while the other one had only 1. So yeah, I bought a kid a plane ticket...

But honestly, I kinda like the idea of middling around with the whole organization. Sure, I don't progress through a season very fast, but it's a little more meat to chew on when I'm tracking the progress of a 3B kid in A ball who's hitting over .340 with 10 dingers.

I do wish there were more automation or "governorship" options in the game though. Like having reports automatically generated once per week on how things are going at the various minor league levels. It would save time.
