Minor League Transaction Database issue

Not really a bug per se but a little anoyance with the Minor League database.

This is an old one, I think it's there since the database was included in the game. The problem is that when a player start his career in the minor he doesn't transfer in the major league rooster of the team he start his major league with his first year.

By exemple, Jimmy McAleer start his career in 1886 (minor) and his professional career start in 1889, but he didn't moved that year and we must do it manually or he'll stay a free agent.

Could that be included in the database so the move would be done by the game. By exemple for this case adding 01/01/1896 signed with CL4.

I guess that doesn't happen anymore when the minor league system is created by the game later...

I donut believe the current transaction database covers any of the 19th century or even the 1800's for that matter.

It does, the database is loaded the first time for the 1872 season. I just spent last week simulating the 19th century and except for the problem I talk about in the thread all the moves were done by the game.

Of course you must edit the league structure each seasons to have the teams who played every given season and not the default structure.

Edit: I took an 19th century exemple but the problem is also present in the early part of the 20th century...
