The Agony!

I thought I might float my starter Gold card to get two or three extra packs right away... but how can I sell a 1971 Top WAR Fergie Jenkins (89) ...!?

Or should I?

Or should I not?

The Agony!

Within five minutes, someone bid on him. Farewell, Fergie. I never deserved you anyway.

Btw, otherwise my rotation is "good" enough to support employment of Boots Poffenberger.

Ooh, yeah, that's a tough one. You can probably get a lot for it, but tough to part with.

Good for 18k PP (after tax), within ten minutes. If I had known that I would have gone even higher.

First pack I opened with my Fergie loot.

We can still be friends, right?

Right?

...and I even kept to myself that I turned the 18k PP into not only Paxton but also Carlos Martinez and Xander Bogaerts off the auction house (5,100 PP total if I am not mistaken) and I think three more silvers in 10 packs I bought.

Oops.

Wow, now I'm considering auctioning my diamond David Cone All Star (93 OVR). The rest of my team is awful outside of a few good players like Ichiro, Burgmeier and Kris Bryant.

I'd sell. Build an army, not just an army of one.

I sold my Peak Hank Aaron from my starter pack for 12k, only to find out the prices for golds were through the roof and I probably could have gotten double...

Yeah, the prices were insane for a few hours. I got 20k - I am sure I could have gotten 25k or even 30k.

Not complaining though - the 20k eventually yielded four golds for me. I bought two (Bogaerts, Carlos Martinez), drew a Paxton right away, and last night drew Robinson Cano with more or less the final PP from the sale.

that was back when the whales were flush with their newly purchased PPs

(I used to be a minnow but I just became a small fish this morning, I spent $10 and opened 5 packs, getting a diamond and a couple golds. first run of luck I've had in a long time)

The way I look at it is any good card that isn't a live card is not leaving my side. I don't follow the MLB really at all nowadays and I really don't want to risk banking on a live card with a 91 overall just for them to have a down season and get bumped down to a gold or something.

Live cards will no longer change in OOTP 19 since the season is already over. Live cards in OOTP20 will be a whole new beast to deal with

We'll create a futures market based on speculation of what the player will do in the future IRL.
