Buy FHM5 Steam or webstore?
Does it make much difference buying FHM5 from Steam or the webstore, other than getting the early Beta when buying from the webstore?
Do you have a preference of one over the other? Why? Is one more popular - Is there a major difference in sales between the two? |

Chances are the other big difference is the amount of computers you can install it on... With the OOTPD version you would only get 2 licenses.. Whereas Steam would allow you to install it on any computer you're logged into.

The reason is if you buy it from our website, we get more support, as it's our store vs someone else's.

Another consideration is the installation of Mods...logos, jerseys, etc.....
OOTP in general has done a poor job with setting up an easy way to locate and install Mods for their webstore customers. It is a difficult and confusing process for customers to locate, determine if Mods are current and relevant, and then install downloaded Mods. OOTP 19 has the in-game Add-Ons Central which helps a bit with Mod installation, however, one big problem is finding the Server URL's (web addresses) that contain relevant Mods. In my experience it has been very frustrating. Steam does a much better job at making Mods available and easy to install for OOTP games. Steam however, takes a large cut of the profits from game developers. |

Howdy: Will FHM5 be available on the Mac App Store as well?
If so, when is that release expected? Also-- Has FHM 5 been/will it be tested with MacOS 10.14 (Mojave)? Thank you. Last edited by Mitch; 09-28-2018 at 08:16 PM. |

I am confused, if I purchase FHM5 through Steam, I will have access to the hockey add on central? I have FM4 which I bought from Steam, and I don't see a add on central, or maybe I'm missing something? OOTP 19 add on central is disappointing hope the developers figure out something for # 20. Thanks for any advice, want to get order in soon.

You should just be able to install mods directly from steam, it is not hard, just go to the workshop

What happen's if you play on Steam and the internet goes down?
I know if you purchase from the webstore, there is no such problem because the game runs by itself(don't know about multiplayer games). Last edited by Orioles1966; 09-29-2018 at 01:09 PM. |

I always buy from the store. Steam is useful for numerous games, but this is one where my personal preference is directly from the company.

I will buy FHM 5 just to support the project although I won't play it. My PC went down, can't be repaired, so I will spent whole season to save money for new one. :/

Its not as easily found on Google as you might think... Anyway..
The OOTP page for refunds on the support page has not been updated since 2015. Does this policy still apply?

I don’t know what the esellerate refund policy is but Steam is quite good. I believe if the game is owned two weeks or less and two hours or less played, you can request refund.
I’ve done this with several titles and have always gotten the refund. It’s super easy.
