Player - Coach - GM
Hello,
I am in the midst of a fictional dynasty that I've created and wanted to get some help from the community. I started my league in 1976 and created myself as an average 2B prospect for the 1988 draft. My intention is to have minor league career, then manage, then become a GM. 1 - What is the best way to go from playing to coaching where I control the coach and can accept/reject job offers? Should I just have my 'player' play and then create a manager, they wouldn't be linked, but I would know that they were the same person. 2 - Can a Manager become a GM in the game or does the same principle about the player to manager need to apply. My goal is to become a manager for a few years in the minors and then the majors and then become a GM. Thanks for the help!

1. You have to create a separate manager for yourself. You can make the player become a manager after his playing career, but there is no way to assume control of this manager (that I know of).
2. Manager and GM are fluid for a player character, technically you can only manage minor league teams and can only GM major league teams, but at the major league level you can change the settings to act as a de facto manager or GM or both, though you will be listed as a GM. Hope that helps. |
