Mick Nathan (267735)
Australian born/based bareknuckler.
Apparently drew with Larry Foley. Most of his other Boxrec fights are no decision's against Peter Newton. Not much to go on with this one, but a nice pic! This rating is speculative and not part of the database. |

Abe Hicken (267623)
English born Hicken (listed by Boxrec as a Welterweight), apparently fought entirely in Australia.
In his most noted bout against local hero Larry Foley, he actually started as betting favourite only to receive a terrible hiding from 'the master'. Not much else to go on. This rating is speculative and not part of the database. |

Harry Dummy Mace (135997)
Australian born Mace was a pupil of Larry Foley and as his nickname implies, was a mute.
Possibly his most famous contest was for George Dawson's Lightweight title in April of 1891. Mace went within a whisker of knocking out his opponent in the fifth round, with only a clever bit of trickery by Dawson's seconds buying him valuable recovery time. The Champ recovered and went on to win in the seventeenth round. Amongst his most notable victories were knockouts against Jim Burge and Billy Australian Smith. This rating is speculative and not part of the database. |
