Bear how much longer do you have to go with this project? I have enjoyed it since day one and hope you continue it.

Thanks for the positive feedback. I've only touched the surface so far. It will continue. I don't have any estimate on when it will finish up. Plan to do more than TV and film and cover literary efforts as well. I did some of my favorite films as well as some classic ones and I'll follow Romano's alphabetical listing, for the most part although I wont be too rigid with that and skip over some I want to rewatch first. Bear,
If you would provide me with some leads in literature, I would be glad to help. Austin |

Do you have copies of the following two books?: R.A. Hartley; 'History & Bibliography of Boxing Books' (1989) and 'More Boxing Books' (1995). They provide a bibliography of boxing titles in English and would identify fictional works. Bear |

Romano is the author of a book. Frederick V. Romano The Boxing Filmography: American Features, 1920-2003 McFarland and Company, Inc., publishers Jefferson, North Carolina, and London ISBN 0-7864-1793-5 I got my copy via Amazon. It's an enjoyable read. Has lots of interestesting tidbits like Abie Bain being the influence for Anthony Quinn's portrayal of Mountain Rivera and influence of Buster Keaton's boxing scenes on Scorcese's treatment in Raging Bull. I'm working from this book and a list of boxing films I compiled using the Internet Movie Database. I've also used The Internet Broadway Database for info on theatre. Bear |

Thanks Bear,
I think a better judgment of a fictional character can be done from a novel than from a character mentioned in passing from a play or movie. I feel that several of the characters from The Professional were done to conservatively on my part. Jofre recommended The Professional as a good read and he was right on!! Excellent book with great development of each character weather they played a major part in the story or not. You had a great idea when you came up with this fictional group; the only danger is rating inflation making it unrealistic. Austin |

H-E-L-P!!!
I downloaded a picture of Pat Comiskey as Gus Dundee. When I clicked on the boxer Gus Dundee I got the following message; Error Loadingimage'C:\Progra~1\OutOft~1\TITLEB~2\ImagesF ighters\dundee_gus'! At this point the game frezzes and I have to hit CtrlAltDelete keys to get out of the game. Previously, I had copied Pat Comiskey and saved him as Dundee_Gus. I deleted Dundee under fighters and deleted Gus Dundee from my fighter list. When I try to download Gus Dundee again from page one of this site, I get the message above and have to get out of the game. could someone post a picture of Pat Comiskey as Gus Dundee so I might try to down load it. Any other suggestions?? Thanks in advance, Austin |

Thanks Bear,
I now have a new problem!! When I clicked on the boxer Gus Dundee I got the following message; Error Loadingimage'C:\Progra~1\OutOft~1\TITLEB~2\ImagesF ighters\dundee_gus.doc'! in a dialog box. I clicked OK than selected the Fighter tab. The picture showed as I hoped. Than I clicked another boxer and his picture showed. When I clicked Dundee again the last fighter's picture showed as Dundee. Whoever I pick and than picked Dundee that boxer's picture as Dundee. It only happens with Dundee and I always get the same error message. If I double click it seems to lock up. Any ideas? Austin |
