I recently read Ballpark and one of the fun things it talked about was the haphazard nature of a lot of the turn of the last century ballparks. As I was studying Capital Credit Union Field it reminded me a lot of those construction stories - a quickly (less than a year) built stadium with an odd shape and quirky charm. It was built as a multiuse stadium for baseball and soccer, but the right field fence is less than 300 ft in real life, and they build their wall out of storage containers because they were cheap and durable. I tried to keep some of that charm (including the right field wall) and added a bit of ivy to the stadium. It also had a view of Lambeau field from the actual stadium location, so that figures in the background.

Overall, the stadium has a pretty lefty friendly split, particularly with the short wall in right and the small foul territory.

I see from the list u do not have a stadium in Montreal on the list, could u do Delorimier Stadium &/or Parc Jarry?

So, funny that you should request Montreal. First, Silvam has done all of the old MLB Parks, and has a Parc Jarry model as well as a Labatt Park model that you could use. (Also Olympic Stadium, if you want to relive that era.)

Second, I have a Montreal model set in the Peel Basin that I'm planning to post on Thursday. It isn't based on Delorimier, but it is an outdoor park and it may fit what you're looking for.

This one is one of my favorites that I've made so far. Stephen Bronfman (the son of original owner Chalres Bronfman) has been exploring ways to bring baseball back to Montreal, and he and his fellow investors have zeroed in on a potential location in the Peel Basin. I found only one concept picture in the location:

I was intrigued by the idea of creating a new stadium in Montreal built into that neighborhood, and if you look at the model in sketchup you'll find that it's more detailed than other ones I've made, including the stores behind left and the Farine Five Roses sign in right. It has an Oracle Parkesque right field fence, looking out on the channel to the old Montreal port. I've enjoyed playing around with this for my Montreal expansion franchises, and I hope you all will too.

The park itself is relatively pitcher friendly, as are the rest of its northern stadium brethren. It particularly is a killer on left handed power hitters.
