PT is Fun
I have been playing this as you know (I've already bought the game and so it's done). I won't of course buy cards or coins or whatever. I am of course sadly (truly) not going to be able to buy OOTP again because of my personal qualms with the model and its tendency to take monetary advantage of people's self proclaimed (as predicted) addiction.
However, I will say it is well done and fun. I just thought I'd put that out there. I don't know how much longer I'll do it, but I promised Markus I would give it a shot and the mode, although I have serious moral issues with the model, is fun and engrossing. Even without spending money, you can play and have fun. Right now my free team is something like 67-46 in a league called Eta Phi. I'm headed to Pullman, WA for some meetings and it's a good way to kill hotel room / airplane time.... Have a good day.

Hey, you remind me of me.
I had the same qualms as you, including a reluctance to spend a few bucks now and then (a few!) but my opinion has changed, as you saw. I have a feeling that you are going to be reminding me of me even more.

I mean, OOTP is pretty great, but this is PULLMAN we're talking about here, not some boring, podunk nowheresville like Tokyo or Rio or Paris or New York or São Paulo or Melbourne or Milan... Pullman. Freaking. Washington. Hope the business trip goes well! [I'm not actually ragging on small towns, I love and currently live in a lovely piece of podunk nowhere, I just like giving Pullman a friendly ribbing because I grew up in WA and it's got an undeserved reputation for being particularly dull. Apologies to anyone out there who lives in Pullman, no actual offense intended.] Last edited by el_gringo; 11-16-2018 at 02:50 PM. |

I love it out there. I mean, it’s not that different from Wilson except there’s too many Hollywood types in and around Jackson.

I stopped having fun and caring pretty quick in week 2. I have a wildcard team, but a few teams in my league are stacked with perfects + diamonds to the point of absurdity. Maybe I'll pull off a massive upset it the playoffs, if i can beat a full perfect rotation, but it's highly unlikely. Now, I log in once a day and open a pack. When it's not gold or higher, it's useless to me. I haven't made a change to my team all week. I have major issues with the predatory business model, but as a free to play player, it's the power curve that ruined it for me. Even free players get way too strong too fast with a little effort. Players need to age or something because, right now, the game gets stagnant very fast. |

Ah, don't worry, we'll just pool together and gift you a copy of OOTP 20 which you won't be able to resist to play.
