Well, Maybe by version 20

Direct from OOTP 12 to 19

I had a copy of Old Time Baseball from around 1995, but never used it much. Apparently bought OOTP 12, but never played it either. Now retired, I watched Ken Burn’s Baseball series on Amazon Prime. Suddenly filled with nostalgia. Bought OOTP 19 for my gaming PC and am gonna have some FUN!

Amazing how different the early OOTP games look (font, visuals). I give Markus and his team all the credit in the world for the work that has gone into improving each version over (basically) 20 years.

I look at a game like the current Strat-o-matic Baseball and visually, it doesn't look that different from earliest OOTP.

Some of the names jumped off the member list but sadly it seems that a lot of old timers have moved on. Here's a who's who...love em or hate em...they were a core of the OOTP community. At least they were major board members that I remember from memory lane...

I used to play Statis League Baseball way before pc's came out. Then in 84 I got my first computer, a Commodore 64 and found microleague baseball about 2 years later...played the hell out of that game...lol I then went a LONG time without a baseball sim as I got into the arcade versions...lol I remember one day deciding to see if any of the old board games were now on pc...and I did find some but I found this game called Out of the Park Baseball...I bought it that day. My first version....8 if memory serves.

remember the Sean Lahman database?

I hope I spelled his name right! I can remember downloading the DB files then gloriously they came out on CD saving many a hand cramp from manually adding those players of yesteryear... I cant remember the version when it changed over to OOTP getting MLB licensing..

I started out with Season Ticket Baseball.
I think that’s like OOTP 3
