Floyd Mayweather Jr.'s Ratings
Greetings,
I was taking a look at Floyd's ratings and was wondering if anyone can break down the science or reasoning behind his ratings. I attempted to contact Ice Tea but I don't think the system has been delivering my emails. In particular, I am curious about his punching accuracy rating. If I recall, I believe his final accuracy rating was a 34 which I understand to be a bit low in the accuracy department. This surprised me as Floyd is one of the most accurate punchers in the history of boxing. If someone could break down the ratings for me I would GREATLY appreciate it. Thank you. In the way that rating works within the game, it goes more to punch volume or work rate than accuracy. Mayweather, in his later years, really wasn't a lead puncher.

Thanks Ice Tea. My mistake for believing that the PL rating was based on accuracy. You are correct. Most of his accuracy comes out of his counter-punching ability and his ability to set traps. Especially in the latter part of his career. I guess the defensive rating would allow for him to have more opportunities for counter-punching in the game.
