Jackie Aldare
Again, if he has already been posted, <i>etc.</i>
<a href="http://www.boxrec.com/boxer_display.php?boxer_id=036991" target="_blank">Jackie Aldare</a> was a workhorse Brooklyn middleweight who fought 117 bouts between 1927 and 1941. His career record: 58-45-14 (18). Aldare faced and lost to a lot of good fighters--Harry Balsamo, Erich Seelig, Freddie Steele, Ben Jeby, Ken Overlin, Paul Pirrone--but his only notable victory came in November 1934 when he gave Gus Lesnevich his first loss. He did also beat Solly Krieger. Photo to follow. <br>

Pete Horton
The usual preemptive apologies.
<a href="http://www.boxrec.com/boxer_display.php?boxer_id=094674" target="_blank">Pete Horton</a> was a fighter from Schenectady who won the "Orient welterweight title" when he was stationed with the U.S. Army in the Philippines. Returning to the states, he fought mainly in White Plains and the New York City area, finishing his seven-year career with a record of 60-14-7 (27). He was stopped four times. Photo to follow. <br>

Pat Riley lived in Schenectady during part his childhood. I've spent some time there over the past 5 or 6 years.

Lew Kirsch
<a href="http://www.boxrec.com/boxer_display.php?boxer_id=010135" target="_blank">Lew Kirsch</a>, a hard-hitting Jewish fighter from the Lower East Side, was a ranking lightweight and junior lightweight in the late twenties and early thirties. Career record: 46-3-1 (18). He was stopped just once--by Tony Canzoneri in the third round in September 1932.
No photo of him that I can find. <br>

Abe Fruchtman
Another New York Jewish fighter. (Somebody has to rate them.)
<a href="http://www.boxrec.com/boxer_display.php?boxer_id=175901" target="_blank">Abe Fruchtman</a> was a pretty good bantamweight and a lousy featherweight from 1924 to 1931. Career record: 33-14-5 (3). He was stoppped just once. I've rated him at both weights. (Bantamweight, 6; featherweight, 3.) As usual, no photo. Sorry. <br>

Al Tripoli
Although I've rated him before, revised (more thoroughly playtested) ratings are attached because I found a photo of him.
<a href="http://www.boxrec.com/boxer_display.php?boxer_id=046260" target="_blank">Al Tripoli</a> was a Yonkers featherweight who, fighting as Jackie Williams, won the silver medal in the 119-pound division at the 1924 Olympics in Paris, losing in the finals to Willie Smith of South Africa. As a pro, Tripoli compiled a record of 35-16-13 (5) from 1925 to 1931. He was stopped just once. <br>

Ray Tramblie
A Rockford, Ill., middleweight and light heavy who fought from 1929 to 1933, <a href="http://www.boxrec.com/boxer_display.php?boxer_id=043873" target="_blank">Ray Tramblie</a> has probably been rated already, but I couldn't find any sign of him. Career record: 46-24-0 (23). He was stopped nine times.

Martin Pérez
Like Ray Tramblie above, <a href="http://www.boxrec.com/boxer_display.php?boxer_id=063149" target="_blank">Martin Pérez</a> was more of a super middleweight than a light heavy, but there was no such division when <i>El Terrible Cocinero</I> was fighting between 1924 and 1934. A main event fighter in Havana, Pérez had a record, according to Boxrec, of 29-16-3 (8). He was stopped eight times.

Hi David,
When I saved the picture of Perez, it didn't show on his fighter sheet. I noticed that the name when saving the picture was P%E9rez. Could this be the problem? Austin |

I had the same problem. If you are like me and can never figure out how to use super script for foreign language symbols, do the following: 1) Use your left mouse button to highlight Pérez' last name (from David's post title) 2) left click on the highlighted text and select 'copy' 3) When you download the photo before hitting save, highlight his last name in the file name 4) Click on the highlighted area and select 'paste' As long as you didn't overwrite the underscore, you can save normally and that should work. Now, if someone can let the dim-witted among us know how to activate and use super script, you wouldn't need to go through the nonsense that this dummy does. Thanks for the ratings David! Christopher

Chris,
Thanks to you and Jofre, I was finally able to post my picture under my name. Now everyone will have broken computer screens as a result of using my image for a dart board. Now I'll have to try out your latest directions on the Perez picture. Austin |

Juan Carlos Gomez (CW Version)
Rating: 10 * I couldn't fine a CW version of Juan Carlos Gomez in the game. He did have 10 defenses of his WBC Cruiserweight belt so he is deserving at least a homebrewed rating. MJ

I just downloaded that file and extracted a few of the fighters and nothing happend. I posted that two days before version II so I have to update them again.
You might want to email tech support about your issue. I doubt that my file could foul your entire game, but if it did, I apologize in advance. MJ

IceTea, I don't think that your file had anything to do with my issue. I was saying tahnk you for the file and just asking a question about my proble. Sorry, I should have made that clearer. Bill
