Hire/Fire Front Office staff?
Hello!
Just picked up FHM14, and I'm looking forward to mismanaging my team to oblivion I've been looking around the menus, for about 45 minutes trying to find out where I can hire and fire my staff and I can't seem to find it? I figured it would be in the personnel tab where it lists all your employees and unemployed staff, but I don't see any transaction buttons. When I click on the staff, there doesn't seem to be any options to do anything to them, other than look at their stats. Am I looking in the wrong place, or do I need to select something? Any help would be appreciated! |

Ahhh, you know what? - I was trying to right-click, but it was on head coaches, which I guess is a no-go currently Now I feel silly.
Thanks for the quick help - read through your Florida play through this afternoon! |

welcome Knave. As Moore mentioned, definitely don't be afraid to ask anything on the forums! Give a quick search as someone may have asked it already and then post away!

I'm praying Hexy will right the ship in a few years when these awful contracts start coming off the books. |

Thanks again for the warm welcome, guys!
Yeah, I'll probably be asking a lot of questions as there doesn't seem to be much in the way of a getting started guide. Simmed my first batch of games and got off to a nice 5-0 start for CBJ, and then came down to a more reasonable 12-8-2. Couple of my guys went down to some minor (couple day) long injuries and the computer decided that they should go on injury reserve :/, so I don't think I'll let the computer manage that anymore. Now to figure out who to offer contracts to and hat I have to do with unsigned prospects! |

Contracts are a bit easier, my rule of thumb is a top 10 player at his position can have a longer than three year contract, everybody else is limited to three years - unless they are 25 y/o or less and you can get them to agree to reasonable terms. The AI can get players to agree to some funky contracts and then they try to trade them right after signing. So beware and check the contracts in trades before pulling the trigger. Good luck and keep us posted! |
