This is my first year of OOTP and I'm a little curious how player development works. I'm running my first season with the Boston Red Sox and their 2013 first round pick Trey Ball had an overall potential rating around 75 (cant remember if this is out of 80 or 100) at the beginning of the 2014 season. But by the end of the 2014 season his overall potential has been reduced to 20 or 21. How does this happen? His stuff rating is still pretty high, he is only 20 years old, he is a top 10 pick. I understand not all prospects are going to work out but in 15 months he went from being a top 10 pick to a nobody? what happened?

In my Expansion in Korea thread, I noted that there seems to be an issue with the KT Wiz team that is currently at the futures level but will join the KBO next season. They participated in the 2014 first year player draft, but none of their draftees seem to be on their roster in the game.

I haven't used the same spelling translations that the Baseball in Korea site uses for everyone since they use the less common translations for some guys. So Shim is actually Sim (though I should probably change that back to Shim), Mun is Moon, the An's are Ahn etc. but all those guys are in fact there. Don't know if this has been mentioned yet, but there's someone that's 2010 years old:

Some issues with the *** roster I've noticed:
none of the teams have coaches assigned many salaries are for one year then revert to $50,000 in 2015 On the Swallows, Shingo Kawabata is out for two months. I was at opening day and he started at third that day. Thanks, Tom

I've added all the coaches over the last week or so, they'll show up in the next update. Not sure exactly what to do about the salaries. I guess maybe we should make most contracts multi-year deals? Fixed Kawabata. Boosted his ratings a bit as well. Last edited by Lukas Berger; 04-30-2014 at 08:45 AM. |

It's more of a database thing, but U.S. Cellular Field's capacity is wrong. OOTP shows a capacity of 47098, while the capacity is actually 40615.
The capacity changed in 2004 when some remodeling was done at the park. Bugged me for a while, but I keep forgetting to mention it. |

You might want to check Ben Revere's defensive ratings. He has something like a 190/250 OF range in the game, but zone ratings had him as below-average last year.

Top Prospect List is not as like one on MLB.com. Gary Sanchez,Wong because he hasn't played a full season yet in majors should make top 100. Also like Allen Craig-Cardinals,John Smoltz-Tigers in History missing who they were Drafted by.
