NCAA enters professional ranks
It's 2019 and the P5 conferences have made the decision to end amateurism and field full fledged professional teams. In this world, there has never been a MLB, so this new NCAA pro baseball league will be the top league in the world. In addition, none of the current/past players have ever existed. So they will populate randomly. (the first season will be simmed with all fictional players so no "legends" will be created initially at like age 35)
Not all NCAA conferences have made the decision to jump to this in the first year. Some conferences have added teams from leagues that chose not to transition as a whole. Some schools who didn't even field college baseball teams up until 2019 have decided to expand their sports portfolio. To make a true All Star Game, two sub-leagues were created. The National and American Leagues. Over time, more and more schools/conferences will decide to join their brethren.... 2019 Setup: National League: ACC, Big Ten (Wisconsin adds baseball), American (SMU, Temple, Tulsa add baseball while Coastal Carolina joins these schools with the Sun Belt not moving up), Big East (DePaul, Marquette, Providence all add baseball), PAC 12 American League: SEC, Big XII (Iowa State adds baseball), CUSA (North Texas adds while Dallas Baptist joins these schools with the MVC not transitioning), and a random assortment of western schools make up a newly formed American West division: Boise State, Portland State, UC Irvine, Eastern Washington, Montana, Montana State, Cal Poly, Fresno State, Cal St. Fullerton, San Diego State, UC Santa Barbara, North Dakota, Sacramento State, Pepperdine, Long Beach State and Gonzaga. I've had a few people request the quickstart so here you go: Hopefully I've done this correctly. https://drive.google.com/open?id=1hF...nVC9pT3hkR6MV1 https://drive.google.com/open?id=1K2...mnUGdxhIyHZO__ One is the logos, which I did not create. I got them from ROBO and someone else on the forum. Robo's are one click inside each conference if that makes sense. Also, some of the team files in the folders are way out of date from conference realignment. I am not sure if the quickstart will pull the logos properly for you. You may have to reassign all the teams with their logo and uni. All teams have the right stadium name but I did not modify the capacities. Last edited by 4maddux_cy's; 04-08-2020 at 08:48 PM. I simmed through the first season since it only has fictional players and here is how the playoffs finished up.

So I had a few hiccups figuring out why I didn't have the draft classes populating correctly with random debut real players. Got it figured out and the 2021 draft will have them so I can't wait until getting going. Just been simming so far. The 2020 playoff bracket looked like this:

Tough news for the Montana State Bobcats as they are the first team officially eliminated from contention on August 8th, 2022. With a paltry record of 31-94 they trail the Gauchos of UC Santa Barbara by 45 games in the American West.

A week later, six more teams have now been eliminated. Joining the Bobcats are:
Memphis, SMU, USF, Colorado, Marshall and North Dakota. Oregon State has trimmed its magic number to just 16 games, the smallest in all the NCAA. |

September 2nd sees Oregon State become the first team to win a division with a PAC 12 Title!
Beavers Easily Win National League Pac 12: A season's worth of hard work has culminated in a division championship for the Oregon State Beavers. The club officially clinched its spot atop the National League Pac 12 today, with plenty of games to spare. "It feels good to get it wrapped up early and now be able to set ourselves up for the playoffs," said reliever Karl Yoder. The club currently has a 110-38 record and this is their 1st division championship. "We want to bring the 1st College World Series to Oregon State," said Andrew Reed. "We think we've got what it takes to be the best in NCAA." |

Division Remains Up for Grabs, but LSU in Postseason: The LSU Tigers can rest easy, they will be a part of the 2022 playoffs.
The team has not yet clinched the American League SEC, but with their record sitting at 99-48 they are now assured of a postseason berth. "It feels good," was the simple response from starting pitcher Justin Bunnell. |

September 3rd sees a pair of no-nos! (Both from fictional players from original creation)
Mejias Fires No-Hitter: Fresno State Bulldogs starter Francisco Mejias was unhittable today at Pete Beiden Field at Bob Bennett Stadium. Mejias beat the North Texas Mean Green 5-0, breezing through the Mean Green lineup en route to a no-hitter. "I thought Francisco started off a little slow and was struggling with his command at first," Bulldogs manager Malcolm Mason said later. "He lucked his way through the early innings, and they helped him out by not being patient. Eventually, it all came together for him, and from there on the Mean Green never had a chance. He dominated them." Mejias struck out 15 batters and issued no walks in the performance. This year Mejias has compiled a 13-11 record with a 2.36 ERA in 31 starts. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Hunt Hurls No-Hitter: It was a fantastic day for Auburn Tigers starter Elijah Hunt and a lousy day for the Long Beach State Dirtbags. The Auburn hurler's pitching artistry completely befuddled and bewildered the Dirtbags, as the Tigers cruised to a 4-0 win. When it was all over, Hunt was credited with one of the rarer feats in baseball -- a no-hitter. "The ball was moving and darting, and best of all, going where I wanted it to go," Hunt said later. He rang up 11 strikeouts and allowed 1 walk while shutting Long Beach State down at Blair Field. Currently Hunt has a 13-12 won-lost record in 30 starts with a 2.86 ERA. He also has 213 strikeouts in 170 innings. |

Canada Has 25-Game Hitting Streak: The Charlotte 49ers stopped the Alabama Crimson Tide today 5-2 and Nehemiah Canada collected a base hit yet again. The Charlotte third baseman finished with 1 hit to run his consecutive-game hitting streak to 25.
"I want to get a hit every time up," a visibly excited Canada told reporters after the contest. "I want to get a hit every game I play. Right now, I feel like I could take this streak to 100 games." Nehemiah Canada grounded out in the 1st, flied out in the 3rd, hit a two-run double in the 4th, grounded out in the 6th and walked in the 8th. This season Canada is batting .337 with 33 home runs. He has scored 80 runs and driven in 100. |

Streak Finally Over, Canada Held Hitless: The hitting streak that Charlotte third baseman Nehemiah Canada had kept going for 25 games was ended today by the Alabama Crimson Tide. Canada was stymied over 4 at-bats today, but the rest of his team picked him up, taking the 2-1 victory at Hayes Stadium.
"Hitting streaks come and go," Canada said. "It did put a little pressure on me. It's hard to be natural at the plate with something like that always in the back of your mind. If it had to end, I'm glad it was in a win." Thus far this year Canada is hitting .335 with 33 home runs, 100 RBIs and 80 runs scored. |
