Foreign players

Is it just me or are there way too many foreign players that come into the league, my entire bullpen right now is Latino with 3 Cabreras

Most of the top amateur players are not American

There's no way to work around this right?

In real life, on opening day last season 28.4% of MLB players were foreign born. About 2/3 of those were Latino. In the minors, an astounding 46.4% of the players are born outside the US.
In Latin America, because of the weather, people play baseball 365 days a year. Lot of talent.
Right now my best player is a slugger from Kenya. I have no idea where he learned to play, but I think he was scouted playing cricket!
I have a Ricardo Perez from Slovakia!
3 Cabreras or 3 Smiths or 3 of any same name on my team would drive me nuts.

Yes but most of the guys that are drafted are American, most foreign players do not go to college and enter the draft

I know there is nothing to do about that given the platform, but I would like to see a few more Americans

Woops, seems SLV stands for El Salvador, not Slovakia.
I did some quick calculations for the league I'm playing, Fictional 2015. My 25 man roster has 7 foreigners, which matches the 28% I mentioned earlier. The league active player list has 67% USA. Without doing deep math, that sounds like it fits the real life numbers of last year.
Could be your team is going through a phase that just doesn't quite fit the real life formula. I've noticed in historical leagues there can be quite a few draftees that in no way matched the historical make-up of the league.

I love it that this game has people talking about player Nationality percentages both against and for it. It proves how much thought and vision was put into it. Thanks again.
