Questions about setting up a Global League

I'm setting up a 176-team Global League with 2 sub-leagues. Each sub-league has 8 divisions with 11 teams per division. 88 teams per sub-league. One sub-league represents teams located in the Western Hemisphere and the other one is for the Eastern Hemisphere. During setup, should I leave Select Nation at (unknown) and Select a Region at Inter-Continental World (All Nations)?

Also, how many minor leagues should I use? Or should I scrap those and go with reserve rosters for all 176 teams?

If there's any other advice you'd like to share about how I can make this save go somewhat efficient and smooth, feel free to share. I'm a bit concerned about how I should tweak the stat modifiers, financials, etc. I hope to have everything run fairly realistic. Thanks in advance for your help!
