OOTP 19...is an Incredible Game

I don't always find the time to share my appreciation and admiration for this game, but I wanted to share a quick story which might help folks who are deciding whether to invest the time in this series:

As some of you know, we run a daily-sim league (simsportsgaming.com) and have been doing so since 2014. We sim one game-day every real-life-calendar day.

At the beginning of the 2018 season, my Angels were slotted to win the division and return to the playoffs for the first time since we lost the World Series in 6 games to the Colorado Rockies in 2016.

The season ebbed and flowed, and the Angels were hovering around .500 for the first half of the year. Eventually, we hit our stride and found ourselves tied for the division lead in August. We were trending upward, big time.

And that's when perhaps other baseball games would have seen me continue on and dominate. But that was not the case.

We ended up stumbling in September, and missed the wildcard by 3 games. 3 games is not much when you watch every single game in replay, lose numerous games by 1 run and/or in extra innings, etc. Yet, my disappointment is an absolute testament to this game as I was struggling to figure out "why?!?" And I enjoyed every heartbreaking moment of it!

So in my frustration that was the 2018 season, I see the beauty in this game. I've been playing since OOTP 3, and I still don't have it figured out.

If you love baseball, and if you're looking for a challenge that will take you far deeper than any other baseball game can take you--including console--then look no further.

This is easily my favorite game of all-time, and I am so excited to see OOTP Developments getting back into multiplayer again with Franchise Hockey Manager 5 and hopefully in their Front Office Football title as well.

Bravo!

This is my favorite game as well too. And sometimes as frustrating as it is, when your team fails for seemingly no reason, its always fun to try and figure out why and fix it.
