Newbie wanting information
I know nothing and can find nothing. The web site tells me nothing. Very frustrating.
What I was looking for was a simulation game, not unlike strat-o-matic, that could be used as a basis for a keeper fantasy league. What I know is that Aaron Gleeman is simulating the 2020 season using OOTP. I find nothing that describes OOTP. Sorry to be dense. What is OOTP? What is the scope of players covered (all MLB? all MiLB?) Can you create teams and leagues comprised of players from different organizations? That is, make up your own teams. Where can I find out how it works? Major thanks, and I'm probably just missing the obvious. |

I don't know what strat-o-matic is but this is literally a baseball simulation game. It could be used as the basis of a keeper fantasy league, assuming you're willing to put in the work to manage the scoring of your league. "What is OOTP?" It's an extremely in-depth baseball simulation game. "What is the scope of players covered (all MLB? all MiLB?)" Every player in the MLB and all associated minor leagues (AAA, AA, A+, A, A-, Rookie lagues, PSL, GCL, plus a large number of international leagues including Japan, Korea, and many more) "Can you create teams and leagues comprised of players from different organizations? That is, make up your own teams." Yes. You can make up entirely different leagues if you want, with different rule sets. "Where can I find out how it works?" Check the manual I linked. |

On a side note, is anyone else frustrated by the tone (entitlement?) taken on by new members of the boards?

There are many videos posted on You Tube that can answer some if not all of your questions, if the manual is too cumbersome.
This link takes you right to the developers you tube page. https://www.youtube.com/channel/UC4D...1cODH0n_5r7aMw |

Thank you
Thanks, all. Sorry if I offended some by directly asking questions. I realize that it can be difficult to read my post without judging. Really do appreciate the answers I received. I'll investigate using those links. Sounds hopeful.

No, not really. Tone is often misinterpreted via text. I would suggest that if it's making you frustrated, you should try taking deep breaths or going for a walk.
