I am going to list the before and after rankings now on the fight cards listed as (before/after) all rankings will be the WBA rankings unless it's a title fight for another organization. Also I will list my scorecard on the fights I watch in bold.

April 13, 1910

FW - Cal McCarthy (4/3) (16-3) KO5 Billy Snailham (5/5) (15-4) 40-36 at the stoppage (both fighters at pre, IBF eliminator fight ... semifinals set, see next post)

BW - Harry Forbes (12/11) (17-16-6) TKO8 Ned Morris (33/34) (5-9-2) (Morris at pre)

BW - Dave Sullivan (8/7) (15-2-1) KO6 Kid Murphy (4/4) (16-4-2) 48-47 sullivan at stoppage (sullivan at pre, Murphy stepped up to BW for this loss)

HW - Sam McVey (53/48) (24-7) UD10 George Perry (54/58) (8-6-4) (mcvey doesn't deserve this low of a ranking but he did lose to two not so great fighters in a row right before the ratings change ... he'll have to work his way back up)

LH - Jack Hogan (UR) (9-0) MD8 Tom Parks (UR) (5-7-1) 78-74 Hogan (both at pre for this club fight)

MW - Frank Bosworth (UR) (10-2-1) UD8 Billy Manning (7-5) (both at pre for this club fight, bosworth moves to the main division with the win)

I like McVey. His ranking is disappointing but like you said losing to 2 poor fighters will do that. I hope he does well. This is good as always keep it up MH.

He'll need to beat some higher ranked fighters and not get knocked down by stiffs, like he did in the fight against Perry above.

Delmont dominates Plimmer

I am going to list the before and after rankings now on the fight cards listed as (before/after) all rankings will be the WBA rankings unless it's a title fight for another organization. Also I will list my scorecard on the fights I watch in bold.

April 16, 1910

WBA Bantamweight Champ Al Delmont (CH) (20-8-2) scored a KO15 over Billy Plimmer (3/4) (22-13-6) for his first defense of the title he took from George Dixon last month.

Delmont dominated this fight from the opening bell winning every round except one and putting Plimmer to mat several times.

Plimmer's left eye started to swell in the 6th. He suffered a cut over his right eye in the 7th. He went down for the first time in the 9th. Down again in the 10th, twice in the 12th, once in the 14th and then for good in the 15th.

I had Delmont leading 139-123 at the stoppage. Markus Heinsohn, ringside expert, had it 139-124.

On the undercard

HW - George Gardner (63/52) (19-11-3) DRAW10 George Godfrey (14/14) (23-14-3)

MW - Dan Creedon (7/4) (25-12-1) TKO9 Charles Goff (37/39) (13-10-2)

LW - Dave Wallace (26/20) (10-6) UD10 Jabez White (UR) (9-3-1) (both at pre)

LW - Jig Stone (UR) (9-0) UD8 Joe Gregg (UR) (7-1-1) 80-75 (both at pre for this club fight)

HW - Ned Kelly (ur/27) (7-7-1) UD8 John McDermont (club) (10-24-2) (kelly at pre, Mcdermont at end .... kelly moves up to main after this club fight)

April 20, 1910

HW - Jack Root (33/15) (33-9-2) MD 10 Joe Coburn (7/16) (22-12-4) 95-94 root (big win for Root, puts him in the mix in the HW division)

LW - Horace Leeds (UR) (11-2) KO3 Charlie Griffin (UR/30) (10-5) 19-19 (both at pre)

FW - Jerry Marshall (13/10) (10-7-2) UD10 Tim Hegarty (44/50) (hegarty at pre)

LH - Patsy Cardiff (5/5) (13-12-1) DRAW10 John Flood (18/17) (9-10-2)

LW - Paddy Smith (UR) (7-5-2) DRAW8 Kid Trembles (UR) (6-1-2) (both at pre for this club fight)

HW - Joe Grim (club) (12-26-1) TKO7 PJ Rentzler (club) (13-20-4) (grim at end, rentzler at post ... rentzler moved up to HW for this club fight .... rentzler moved to end after the fight)

rentzler marks my first non beginner to change stages automatically ... this was his 5th post-prime fight. When I calculated the next aging for my guys I had the post prime low end at 5, I've since changed it to 10, but there will be some effects of that.

Look at big Joe with 12 wins, I think your universe may hold the distinction for the most success by MR. Grim.

Yeah he's done surprisingly well ... but Herbert A. Slade maybe the only non 1 rated fighter he has beaten. He holds two wins over Rentzler and two over TC's. One surprise is that he has only been knocked down 32 times in 38 fights.

Johnson starts a new defense streak ... in other news Lee MaCrae needs an eye examine

I am going to list the before and after rankings now on the fight cards listed as (before/after) all rankings will be the WBA rankings unless it's a title fight for another organization. Also I will list my scorecard on the fights I watch in bold.

April 26, 1910

Jack Johnson (CH) (37-2) won his first defense of the IBF HW title with a MD15 over Dominick McCaffrey (4/4) (28-10-3).

Fairly dull fight with Johnson dominating the early rounds, McCaffrey stealing a couple in the middle and then Johnson holding off a late rally. No cuts, knockdowns or swelling in the fight.

I had the fight 144-141 Johnson. The official judges had it 144-142/143-143/145-140. Our ringside expert, Lee Macrae, spent a little too much time at the open bar tonight and ruled in favor of McCaffrey 146-139!!!!!

On the undercard

LH - Larry Temple (18/17) (16-3-2) KO8 Gunner Moir (22/25) (9-13-1)

LW - Young Erne (40/30) (13-6) UD10 Jimmy Carroll (26/34) (17-14-5) 97-94 (Erne at pre, nice win for erne)

LW - Patsy Sweeney (21/18) (13-11-2) TKO10 Arthur Douglas (38/42) (11-6) (douglas at pre)

FW - Jimmy Anthony (UR) (7-5-1) TKO5 George Phalin (UR/34) (8-7) (both at pre, Anthony stepped up to FW for this club fight, Phalin moved to main)

LW - George Monroe (UR) (9-11) UD8 Mike Cushing (UR) (11-23-5) (monroe at pre, cushing at post for this club fight, Monroe still trying to even his record to get to the main division, on his 15th he was 5-10 so he had to stay in club)

LH - Georges Carpentier (UR) (12-1) UD10 John Miller (UR/11) (8-5-2) 99-89 (both at pre .... this is how sad the LH division is right now, Miller has 147 pp and is ranked 11th!)

FW - Billy Finucane (38/30) (11-11-3) UD10 Percy Cove (UR/37) (11-3-1) 96-93 (cove at pre)

BW - Frankie Neil (16/12) (20-18-3) UD10 Hugh McGovern (29/29) (7-6-5) 98-94

Ouch that is pretty bad but hey at least you got Dillion, Carpentier, and McAllister coming up to maybe spice things up abit.

Yeah I've seen ringside experts have some funky ass scores.

Coulon regains BW title

I am going to list the before and after rankings now on the fight cards listed as (before/after) all rankings will be the WBA rankings unless it's a title fight for another organization. Also I will list my scorecard on the fights I watch in bold.

April 30, 1910

Johnny Coulon (3/CH) (22-3-2) dominated the late rounds for a UD15 win over Charles Goldman (2/3) (14-2-1) (goldman at pre) to regain the WBC BW title.

The early rounds were close, with not much going on. Goldman's right eye started to swell in the 5th. In the 7th, Coulon was cut under the left eye and it seemed to wake him up. He didn't lose another round until the 15th.

I had it 147-141. My alter ego, ringside, had it 147-140. The official judges had it 146-141/147-140/145-141.

On the undercard

HW - Dick O'Brien (78/76) (11-7-1) MD10 Steve Reynolds (84/84) (8-11-2)

FW - Abe Willis (63/62) (11-6-2) UD10 Eugene Hornbacher (56/59) (10-7-1) 96-94 (both at pre, one of the only times I've seen the winner still ranked below the loser... willis does have 17 more pp but is still ranked behind)

FW - Lew Ryall (53/39) (12-6) MD10 Jimmy Hill (UR) (10-3-1) (both at pre)

LH - Charles Haghey (25/15) (12-4) MD10 Pat McCourt (7/18) (8-6-2) (both at pre)

FW - Ole Oleson (club) (11-12-3) TKO5 Jack Roberts (club) (7-13) (club fight)
