Best DH for Perfect League

I am having an issue with my DH... I have fixed the Defense entirely but I went too far that way, lol, and now my offense is somewhat struggling. I need a SOLID DH... Who has produced for you?

What is your budget? The answers will vary wildly if you're looking to spend 5k vs. 100k.

I have 50k free right now but I can sell a few bench folks that arent doing anything and free up 100k total...

You can platoon a couple poor defense guys like Anson and Speaker if you are not looking for overt power. something like that would not strip your bench.

What are your ballpark specs? Also are you looking for a fulltime DH or is a platoon acceptable?

This. If you can’t afford Anson, there are several good options for the right side of a platoon (that will see less action) such as the gold Aaron or Kaline. Those guys can also backup in the outfield. Speaker (94) is good choice at your price range, probably the best option for the LH hitter.

I'd recommend 89 overall (1B) Pujols or 89 Edgar Martinez as lower cost guys compared to Anson for the vL part of the platoon. for vR - Roger Connor or Anson or Olerud are solid options

After I think about it, Dick Allen, maybe OVR 93, might go well in budget with Speaker all for your 50K with maybe some change.

Edit: I drew 100 Babe Tuesday night so I stopped platooning at DH

Pujols is a decent enough 1B that he doesn't need to DH. I've got Connor and he's a great full-time DH. Anson is great because you get some speed, too.

Since DHs pretty much never get tired, it's great to avoid platooning so you can use that second roster spots elsewhere.

I like Anson in my lineup, I am platooning him with Olerud and letting Olerud come in as defensive replacement. Anson is a very capable PH and PR against RH when he is not in against LH too.

Cheap option is to platoon 81 Mize and 80 Thomas. The usually combine for about 5 WAR for me.
