They've been pretty consistent with both winning in final at bats and poorly juggling gas cans and lit torches in the ninth inning through the seasons LOL

Come on guys, you can't let him win his 5th straight MVP. There are a couple wannabe Trouts keeping pace with him at least. He's practically got GG #3 wrapped up on June 1st with that ZR lead.

a few spotlights for teams overperforming based off their point totals after the first two months:
-Kudos to the Kenner Gators (blizzardhole) for jumping out to an impressive 33-20 start (total cap points of 15; 2.20 wins per point to lead the league) -trying to keep up with the Gators for wins per point; my Waffletown Syrups are at 1.93 wins per point (27-28 record; 14 cap points) -in the AC East, the Snaefell Woodpeckers (strakapoud) sit at an equally impressive 34-20 record for their 19 cap points (1.79 wins per point) -in the NC East, the Durham Tattered Gloves (zrog2001) are performing quite well at 33-22 for their 19 cap points (1.74 wins per point) -and in the NC West, the Chesapeake Clippers (jenazu) sit at 26-28 for their 16 cap points (1.63 wins per point) |

The Bandits had a strange May from a PP perspective - only ~5 achievements, but instead of rinky-dink bronze ones, three were silver! 900 PP from one game, and capped off by #5 SP McKay throwing a Maddux. Always a thrill when guys on the team just for fun step up like that.
Now, though, I'm saving up for Future Legend Ohtani. I've run out of patience watching the live version get trounced on both sides of the ball. |

Actually my Woodpeckers currently are at 22 cap points (I added Rendon and Strasburg since the last calculation), therefore it was "only" 1.54 wins per point. Nonetheless, I am very pleasantly surprised with the boys |

nice... I figured I'd do a mid-season recalc after June is over to pick up any in-season additions/subtractions from the rosters.... |

Turned around big time for the Gryphs on both sides... went from ranked 13th and 17th in the power rankings to 2nd and 4th now and both on top of the west divisions... not sure it will last, but today is a good day anyway...
Always seem to split with Chesapeake! |

Your pitching (for the NC team) is #1 in RA while mine is #3. But all 5 of your pitchers have better ratings than my best pitcher. I think the only reason my pitching is close to yours is due to a better defense. I think this team of yours (the Gryphons Red) should at the very least be close to the top come season's end. At this point, I'm just happy to be close to .500. I had an 8 game losing streak which didn't exactly help the WPct out. On the plus side, most games we've played have been reasonably close so maybe we can hang in there and avoid relegation.

standings heading into July (6 game losing streak isn't doing much for my boys hopes, but still lots of games to go)

mid-season point check.... some roster moves here and there... and some of our out-of-adherence teams have come back into line, so we're left with just two teams over the 50 point target. Well done!

My Clippers continue to be competitive and are now 49-48 so I'm happy about that. In other news today...
The Snaggletown Snappers are the hottest team at the moment. They've won 11 straight and are in a tie for 1st with the Anderson Giants. Their winning streak started after losing 1 game to my Clippers team. I guess the embarrassment of that defeat spurred them on. Larry Dierker of the Kenner Gators is 13-0 (highest rWAR too) and has an undefeated streak of 20 games going right now. My Dierker has been relegated to the #5 SP role since he's having his worst year ever.

At the moment, the NC West has the best WPct. It seems I jinxed Snuggletown who finally lost right after I posted that they had won 11 straight.

Dierker is my best pitcher on two teams. My Perfect League (Kenner Lynx) Dierker is 15-4 with a 2.81 ERA. And that's on a 35-66 team.

Wow, 15-4 on a 35-66 team?! Reminds me of Steve Carlton's 1972 season.

Good job NC West! This is nuts. No idea why my team is hot, but I love that we're rolling the rest of the league as a division.
