How about a league where 1875 is the total overall ratings that your 25 players (average of 75) can have? Probably not the first one to think of this. Sure would be competitive.

Why would that be any more competitive than a league where the average player is 95 OVR?

OOTP 20 is supposed to do special tournaments with assorted rules; something like this might also be on the table.

And yes, I know that OOTP 20 is not OOTP 19. But this forum has many people that always point out that they bought every single one since OOTP single-digit-of-your-choice, and those games also couldn't do half as much as the newest one can.

We will have tournaments with certain caps for overall value of the team. That will be fun & adds a lot of strategy.
