Well, it appears that card is out of my league... I dropped out at 45K points... it sold at 89K.

Wow, was that way above what the average was? I would have thought you could have gotten it at 45K.

The average of the last 5 sales was 37.5k. I should have looked at the previous high but I didn't. I doubt that the card has been traded a lot.

That's probably a good point about it not being traded a lot. Have to imagine you could get a lot better value elsewhere, not paying the rarity tax.

Yeah, I really was hesitant to buy him anyway. He played for the Cubs.

The East is shaping up to be a nice battle this year. My team is playing well, but I can't get any breathing room. If our home/road splits keep up it seems extra important to win the division.

That's a good point. Heck, I've got Red Sox on my team too. Damn you Perfect Team, making me care more about winning than rivalries.

You should pick up a Troy Tulowitski live card to save your team.

I guess all I can say about this season is that I'm glad that I'm going to avoid promotion to perfect. I'm about done spending money (I've spent $60) because in order to improve my team enough to compete in perfect, I'd have to spend hundreds from where I'm at right now.

Ohh go ahead and spend some money my friend. There is a Ruth card starting at 700,000, That would be a nice place to start spending. Lol. Can you believe that? That is a 400 dollar start. And guess what, There is actually a bid on it. God bless that guy. Actually both guys, The guy that can afford it and the guy getting over 700,000 pts.

If you can spare the defensive hit at first, Cap's bat is worth it!

Your division is fun to watch. Both wild cards are likely to come from there also . I hated playing in a division like that before but it sure makes it fun for the rest of to follow from the outside! lol Good luck!

Hey Kango. Great start thus far in the Centra! Even if you are doing it with a gambling, lying, tax evading, banned from baseball player in your lead-off spot. ;-)

12-6 so far today, so I'm happy. Still a tight race, but I'd rather be 2 up than 2 out. And as an added bonus I was surprised that I won an auction that I big on before work at a nice discount.

Thanks! It definitely is a tough one. I've been in the situation where I've been in the other division and it's win it or go home because there was no shot at the Wild Card. I'd feel better with a lead like yours though!
