Kappa Chi (A) Season 2 Trash Talk

Here's where we can continue to talk about our rivalry, since we all got promoted to the same league from rookie ball.

1. Doesn't it seem to you guys that we have a lot of "bot" teams in this league? Many of the teams have only their starter packs and a lot of common cards on the active roster. How did they get to A-ball?

2. Why did we all get jammed into two divisions? Several of these bot teams will be promoted by placement and some of us will be held back.

I am looking forward to seeing this play out.

el_gringo: It looks like you beefed up your squad in the offseason.

Haha, no. I think these are teams run by the AI. Either that, or there are a lot of people that joined, opened their starter packs, and then logged off. And then, somehow, they finished at the top of their leagues and got promoted. Seems strange to me. Matt is in our division, maybe he will notice this thread and comment on that.

Nice way to start off the season with a 5-0 win over Edgerton. Since he swept me in the last series of last season.

They did not necessarily have to finish at the top of their leagues. I was something like 4 games over .500, finished 3rd in my division and was still promoted.
I am not sure what League I was promoted to.

They had to be among the top 10 of 30 if I remember correctly. That would be the top third, certainly not the bottom half.

I asked Markus, apparently this wasn't intended, I just put a PT report in.

I believe that this is the league I'm in, if we stuck together. Unfortunately had a couple upgrades planned for last night, but didn't have a chance to jump on before work tonight.

Anyone able to screenshot the standings to confirm the teams in the league?

How did all of those bots get into the AC conference? I mean, they are all default teams

We had a little head start since we were the tester/dev league, so we were probably first sequentially in the database. Post-promotion league assignments didn't get randomized (Markus told me that'll be changing), so our top 10 might've been the last to get moved up and were lumped in with either the 'winners' of a non-human test league or some other filler teams that were needed to balance the league size. These bots seem to have played in a league last year, but their pitcher W-L stats don't look like they'd have won anything, which is kind of odd.

Anyhow, should be easy PP beating up on these teams. I think I'm leaving my roster mostly intact to see what kind of rewards, if any, I get for season-length player stats.

This is a good idea. I had very few players that even qualified for statistical awards last year. I hope to change that this year.

Thanks for the insight into the seeding etc.

I'd be surprised if I'm able to compete this time around. My team was 8th in ERA last season. Now, my team is 29th. It's getting late early. :-[

My pitching is getting drubbed so far. 4-5 and 15th in ERA. UGH.

I was really balanced last year (3rd in BA, 2nd in runs, 3rd in ERA) but this year teams are teeing off on me. It's a small sample size, but hope this doesn't continue!
