Can OOTP do this?

I have created a fictional league which is nearing 100 years in play. I have been the GM of one team this whole time (I am currently 144 years young and doing GREAT)... Anyway, over the years, I have seen some great teams come and go. Is there a way to extract some teams from this league (from different era's) and create a different league so that I can play the best of the best?

I know OOTP can do that with "real" MLB teams. But can it do it with teams which it created?

Not natively. You'd have to do things manually.

What a cool idea. Would like to know how this could be done myself?

The same way as importing historical players.

Sorry if this is a silly question but if I would import an historical player, i would know his "Historical Player ID (i.e. ruthba01)"

How would I find the fictional player ID number?

Assistance, please.

I'm a fictional guy. I may have tried the 1986 Mets once but didn't finish the season. My knowledge in the area is weak.

For real players it will have the lahman ID listed in the editor, for fictional players that will be blank. There is another ID that OOTP uses (in which way I am unsure of) that can be found in the top right of ther left section? in the editor. So Mickey Mantle in a historical league might be player 1000 but in a fictional league might be 1,000,000.
