Yup, that's a very nice cricket game with a ton of promise. Reminds me a lot of OOTP from around 6.5 or so.

MLB license does not interest me in the least and to be frank, the serious as a whole is becoming a bit stale
If the big annoincement licensing. Then this years big feature is something you can already get in 90 seconds from mods that are officially supported within the game.

I thought if OOTP got the licensing that it would make the game have to be altered to fit the MLB rules and what not for injuries and whatever else. I really hope its not the license. If it is and the game is changed for the worse because of it, it wont be an exciting day at all.

True, but one would think the license would open up a whole new world for marketing and perhaps bring the product to the attention of many more people.

This is a benefit that would help the game in the long run in terms of additional resources etc.

It may not matter to you but if it does matter to OOTPD, perhaps good manners should prevail instead of knee-jerk criticism.

The only major roster rule OOTP makes no attempt to emulate is the 10 day demotion rule. Also known as the Curtis Borkholder rule to us old-timers.

Well, depending on how one classifies what constitutes a "major roster rule", there are others the game as yet does not emulate. (And may not emulate for quite some time due to various technical constraints.)

Examples: no waiver limitation on optioned players; no fourth option year for certain players; no 26-man active roster for doubleheaders; players with three years of major league service who are outrighted don't get the option to choose between accepting the assignment or becoming a free agent.
