Only this.....

The ability to check the opposing bullpen and see whether their relievers are ready or cold...

Even with Flash in leadoff, and Superman batting cleanup, my team would still suck.

3: better end of season pitcher usage and playoff pitcher usage.

4: the ability for the AI to "know" user-scheduled playoff games are upcoming and rejigger it's lineups accordingly

5: a tournament mode or the ability to schedule an in-season tournament like the FA Cup

6: and this shouldn't be last, a smarter AI approach to team-building. too many times teams run out an absolute nobody to start the year (and often all year) that puts up a 8 or 10+ ERA while spending huge money on a backup C or a setup man or something. a better ranking of the importance of different roles would be nice.

7: 2D animation that goes fast. players as dots that reflect their skills, ball coming off the bat reflecting how hard and where they hit it. as simple as that, 3D looks like a step too far based on what I saw last year and I love the direction that is going but think 2D is a better first step
1. All market size does is affect the value of media contracts
2. YES
5. Would be cool
7. I definitely agree! I would much rather see a great 2D than a wonky 3D

3D so detailed that you are now able to capture the close up drama of a Bumgarner Okie blow on the pitchers mound?

Manager Mode at the big league level. I have no interest in being a GM.

Market size also drives gate revenue.

I would love to see/watch/play a better visual functioning 2D game.

Doesn't market size and popularity work together in relation to gate revenue and merchandising?

Some of the stuff mentioned is indeed part of OOTP 16. And some unmentioned features.

We'll announce the new version on Friday, January 23rd. And this will be the biggest announcement in the history of the series, I can tell you that much.

Well, I'd say having rain-outs (or other cancellations) that have to be made up (or not) later in the season, but IIRC Markus has opposed this in the past, so I'm not holding my breath.

Ditto for historical minor league structures, rather than our having to reconstruct the 1976 farm systems manually, or whatever, each time we want a realistic historic game.

As for what's actually included…I don't know, a "face-gen" style option for the ballparks, perhaps? Specific retaliatory beanballs (from both player-managers and AI) and umpire warnings/ejections without a fight happening? "Coach" ratings for active players, both to allow for player/managers in that era (6 of the 8 AL clubs in the mid-'20s had player/managers) and to metricify (not an actual word) how valuable a Keith Hernandez "coach on the field"-type player is to helping his teammates?

And yeah, the WBC does seem likely.
