I would also like to see newspaper/story reporting on the playoffs significantly expanded.

The order please:
1. Tie-breakers 2. AI Roster Management 3. AI in-game substitutions 4. Improved Financial Model (Needs a rework...Needs detail) 5. Rework of feeders 6. Minor league age-limits . . . 10ish. Newspaper . . . 15ish. 3D Graphics (This is important and looking forward to it but it's a low priority...to me) I'm not going to belabor the point or get into an argument to prove I'm wrong or that 68% of the community wants 3-D. I'm just going say that, yes, I am looking forward to animations but not yet. In my best Djimon Hounsou, "Not yet, Not yet."

No, You are wrong. It is not your highest priority. Maybe you should reread my list and get your priorities straight. Some people...
Welcome back, my friend.

You seem to be having trouble either telling us apart or with personal pronouns, one or the other. Have you been at the cough syrup again?
The newspaper fix is my #1 priority.

I don't usethe newspaper per se, but all of the items that Wolf mentioned need to have at least more regular news stories, especially playoffs news. There is hardly any right now

I would consider the newspaper important but not #1.
Being able to actually play is more important so fixing the double-header problem would be #1 for me. Fixing the Rule 5 Draft is right up there as well. I would have the newspaper higher than at least three of Pawn's top items. I would have 3-D even lower.

Not sure where the newspaper ranks as a priority, other than to say I think it's pretty high. The newspaper's potential to add immersion (to a game that's already pretty damn immersive!) is tremendous. It's definitely an immersion killer -- or at least a downer -- when big events like 'who won the pennant' and 'what teams advanced to the 2nd round of playoffs' don't register as newspaper headlines.
I can only imagine the programming challenges associated with the newspaper -- and I'm sure if the enhancements we're asking for were easy to do, they'd already be in there. Case in point though -- my team recently pitched a combined no-hitter. I would have been pretty psyched to see that make the headlines (...as I found out, combined no-hitters not only don't make headlines, they don't get recorded as no-hitters in the league History. Bummer). I love the "X Pitcher strikes out 14 batters" and "X player goes 5 for 5" headlines. Free agent signings and trades, too. They add so much to the feeling of a 'living' baseball universe. But a lot of the headlines become repetitive and predictable, while other 'big news items' just fall by the wayside. So definitely hope ootp15 will improve on this. |

Thanks. I'm not sure if I will ever do that again because it was insane, but I just couldn't pass up a chance to go.

I am pretty sure it is that way in real life too.

Really? When sports talking heads say "Tim Lincecum has just pitched only the X no-hitter in major league history," surely they're talking combined no-hitters into account too? MLB No-Hitters - MLB - ESPN |

MLB: "An official no-hit game occurs when a pitcher (or pitchers) allows no hits during the entire course of a game, which consists of at least nine innings."

If we can have stories recapping shutouts and multiple hit games that include quotes from players/managers and such, why isn't there recap of each and every playoff and World Series game? Also, wouldn't the newspaper be the best place to promote a much needed new feature to OOTP----Playoff series and World Series MVP's?

And wouldn't a real newspaper provide all the cliches that will be needed?
