Starting Rotation Skipping?

Hi, sorry if this is a newb question,

I have my 5 man rotation in a regular MLB setting with a few modifications (feeder leagues added, edited player attributes)

My rotation is set to strict order,5 man rotation and when advancing a day each time the rotation moves along as expected except that even though the next scheduled starter is (Jesse Litsch in this case) it skips Litsch in the 5th spot and goes straight Back to Halladay.

It has happened in several previous games but only to one player even if I alter his rotation spot from 5 to 4 it will always skip him and no one else. Each new game I start it's a different pitcher that can't start.

Thanks for any help,

You say it's only specific players. What does the game say is his recommended role? That field is to the middle right of the main player screen IIRC. I'm guessing it just doesn't feel he's good enough to be a starter.

Alternatively, I wonder if it may have something to do with your 7-day lineups. I thought that if you just had them empty then it would automatically use the set rotation mode, but I was wrong. You have to select no to using 7-day lineups.

Since we haven't heard back from this gentleman in some time, I'm going to go ahead and close out this thread.

Thanks very much!
