Diamond Players

So, I'm in my 2nd season. Was in Bronze, moved up to Silver. I've got no diamond level players on my team, playing at a .371 clip right now, even though it's a better team than I had in Bronze. I've noticed that most of the teams I play have 6-8 diamond level players, so they are much better than me.

Now, what is the most cost effective way to get diamond players? Buy packs, and hope you get some, at 150:1 odds? Or save up for them, which takes a long, long time? I've accumulated about 6k at the moment. Anyone got a theory? (I know I could buy points)

150:1 is per card, not per pack. So taking out the guaranteed bronze, you have five cards that could be anything else, so you should get a diamond once every 30 packs. When you're still in the early stages, you're better off buying players.

Honestly, I wouldn't worry about diamond players early on. You can get a bunch of silver and gold players in the auction house for 6k that would make your team competitive.

Yeah, I've got two guys on the active roster that are in the high 50's. A catcher and a middle reliever. I go to replace them, but the problem is, one's hitting .299 and the other has a 3.32 ERA. They're doing better than most of the guys in the 70's and low 80's. You never know,

Don't worry about the number rating on the card. Look at the ratings. Look closely at the split ratings. You may have players that are good vs left handers and others that are good vs right handers.

Unless I am missing the boat, you can only look at split ratings if the player happens to be playing at your current league level.

If he is in a different league level, you don't have the option of seeing any splits or current stats.

In situations like that, you are basically "buying blind" and hoping for the best.

Geez, I've been looking for something like this for months. Thanks CrazyWR (and original creator of the DB).

Remember this is the OOTP19 set. Either the OOTP Staff will release the OOTP20 set (per their current discussion) or someone will have to put a new list out.

Thanks; first time I've seen anything like that .

Any idea if it can be easily converted to the 1-5 rating scale, as that is the rating scale I've been using for over 10 years?
