It's based upon Dr. P.R. Park III's World of Baseball 13.

Full MLB with complete minors, five college and five high school feeder leagues, Japanese, Chinese, Taiwanese, and Cuban leagues. Added in an Irish and German league as well as two indy leagues (based upon the Cape Cod league and the Quebec Major Junior hockey league)

No, you do not need the beta installed first. All patches include the changes that were made in previous patches.

I've been using it since it came out and have had no issues. However, I should point out that I'm a simmer and have not played out a single game with 15.

I play out all games for one franchise in a custom league of all time great teams, I have fully played a dozen games since installing patch #2, Zero problems so far

Yes, it's a patch, but one that's being tested. It's been out there for a couple weeks and there haven't been any game-breaking problems introduced with it that I'm aware of. I've been playing with this beta on a Mac since it came out and have no problem. Markus did acknowledge that the beta patch does not fix the 3D issues many Mac users are having.

Do we have any information on when this will become more than a beta? I'm looking to start my first real game soon, but I don't want to invest a lot of time to have an improve game and roster drop a week in.

Don't worry about using this patch. I've been running it with zero problems and perfect stability.

Good afternoon all - this is my first post, though I have been following these boards for a while - the fans are very passionate and the developers are beyond dedicated to their work - so thanks in advance for the help.

I am using a Mac and I have had the game crash twice since installing the beta patch. Both times occurred while I was playing the game and after one of my own players got injured and had to be removed. It wouldn't lock up until a few innings later, but the game would freeze and then exit. It never froze prior to this and I had played a few months without issue.

Headed home from work in a few hours if anyone has follow up questions, I'll check back then...
