How does the new "databases where you want them work"
Hi!
In the OOTP 14 newsletter I learned about setting up a new database "where I want it": OOTP Baseball 14 - The Road To Release, Part 2 Can anybody explain how this really works? I'd like to set up one to play around with customization settings without overwriting my regular one used for playing an MLB game... And of course the manual isn't up to snuff yet. |

While you shouldn't answer your own posts, I felt it was suitable in this case, since I have found out the answer to my question.
I copied the whole "OOTP 14" tree and renamed it "GalLeague". Then, starting up OOTP 14, and starting a new league I needed to avoid the wizard and go into the Advanced League Creation mode. Here I could change the database to the database folder in the new GalLeague tree (and the other corresponding setting to their respective folders). In the end it wasn't that hard - I just had gone through the league creation wizard and once you have created a league through that, the ability to switch your database is greyed out. |
