It's not. SION is also all over team home pages as well.

Five thousand thanks for a non-modder? I never thought I'd see the day. Thank you for your support.

The The milestone watch, is certainly cool.

I think 5.99 is definitely a fair price for OOTP2007 owners.

There's no amount of time that would have been "way too long." What you are telling us is that someone didn't want to do it.

Right, as I said, SION is the only SI stuff you should see.

I disagree, when you consider deadlines and time restraints that the developers have. Sure anything can be done if you have all the time in the world, but, unfortunately I don't think OOTP Dev. had all the time in the world.

Right now, seeing SION everywhere I look in OOTP8, I am thinking that any price is too much for it, but that's probably way too colored by anger to be a fair overall appraisal, and you're probably right.

It isn't just removing SION, it's coming up with another name that isn't already trademarked. Not only that, but if OOTP8 is a bridge between OOTP2007 and OOTP9, it's fair to expect a transition from SI to OOTPD.

Are you saying that we can use the Catobase with the new version?

Me, showing that game screen to an experienced computer professional: "Is there any way that graphic could 'take to long to remove?'"

Experienced computer professional: "I can't see how."

You don't need a trademark for blank space.

Yes.

If you are a serious CATO user, I would consider picking this up in a heartbeat if they get the $6 offer straightened out.

"SION" is not only the graphics, it's in the text everywhere and in the code. We'll use another name in OOTP9 I guess. But I really absolutely don't understand why you bother about that abbreviation of a fictional "online network"?! It's called SION in OOTP8 because we wanted to fix some bugs instead of doing cosmetical stuff. I hope that's okay for you

I definitely will NOT be buying OOTP 8, and am a little miffed that anyone who bought OOTP 2007 has to pay for a patch. A milestone tracker is not worth $5. Sorry.

@Wolf: The people at Sports Interactive are really great guys and I really like what they do. I don't understand why you name it "SI crap".

Four words: global search and replace.

Three words: suspension of disbelief. Plus, this may come as a shock to you, but there are some of us out here who are not fond of SI.

I remain very disappointed that you did not do both.

Thanks for answering, though. Now at least I understand what happened and why and will bring it up no more.

The OS X release will be early next week. I'm really sorry that we couldn't get it done at the same time. But to release both games at the same time we would have to wait with the PC release until next week, and would that make any sense?

Andreas, one of the many meanings of crap is clutter. The use of the word was in no way intended as a shot at SI (even though I am not fond of SI).

Another way to put it would have been "SI clutter."
